Description

Thermoplastic Elastomers (TPEs), or thermoplastic rubbers, are a class of copolymers i.e., a polymer blend, usually a plastic (PP) and a rubber (EPDM) with both thermoplastic and elastomeric properties. TPE rubbers, have the main characteristic of being recyclable as they can be extruded and reused, keeping the typical elastic properties of rubber, which, on the other hand, is not recyclable due to its thermosetting properties (EPDM).
It is possible to have hardness grades from as low as 40ShA up to semi-rigid grades, and due to its composition they can be coextrudable with each other.
