Alfa SOFT (TPE-SEBS)
Description
The family of thermoplastic elastomers also includes SEBS (Styrene-Ethylene-Butylene-Styrene).
SEBS is a styrene-based block copolymer in which the elastomeric phase is modified by hydrogenation, leading to the formation of an elastomeric segment in which ethylene units alternate with butylene units. It has elastic properties and the softness typical of a rubber, resistance to abrasion, heat to UV and weathering very similar to vulcanized rubber. Due to its chemical composition it is also compatible and suitable for co-extrusion with materials such as ABS and ASA, while like TPE, SEBS rubbers are fully recyclable.
